Affiliates… It’s Time To Make Bank
The holiday shopping season is finally here! According to a comScore press release, Black Friday saw $595 million in online sales which makes it the second heaviest online spending day to date in 2009. This also represents an 11% increase from Black Friday 2008. Given this data, I’m really excited to see what Cyber Monday is going to do. Retailers such as Wal Mart are already gearing up for some unreal deals that will likely create a huge consumer buzz.
Now more than ever, we as affiliates must take advantage of this traffic and capitalize it to the fullest. With consumers utilizing the Internet for their Holiday Shopping, they become a very engaged audience that provides some of the best conversion rates of the year. You’ll likely also notice an increase in conversions on affiliate offers that aren’t even retail based. With a credit card already in a consumer’s hand, if you’re creative, you’ll notice a conversion rate increase during the shopping season!
If you haven’t began to build out your holiday campaigns, you better get on the ball before it’s too late! Be creative, don’t be scared to be unique, and work hard.
