Last night I was laying in bed thinking about yesterday’s blog post, Oprah/Dr. Oz Lay The ?SmackDown? On Affiliates when an idea hit me. Being a business-minded person, I thought of the old saying, “If you Can’t Beat Them… Join Them!” Regardless of what they say now, Dr. Oz and Oprah have both praised Acai and Resveratrol on television. Now, instead of trying to go after affiliate markers, networks, etc. wouldn’t it make more sense for Oprah to use her billions to come out with an actual “Oprah/Dr. Oz” endorsed Acai/Resveratrol product? Obviously their names sell the fire out of these products, and coming out with their own line seems like to me a much better solution than to trying to go around suing everyone that’s ever used an image of them. They could create their own affiliate program which would instantly become every networks top converting offer. Call me crazy, but it just seems like instead of filing lawsuits that are going to take months to resolve, the easy solution would be to create their own product line and enjoy some of the revenue themselves!
