Anyone Can Imitate, Few Can Innovate

Internet marketing is just like any other business in that you want to put as much of a gap between yourself and the competition as possible.  One of the best ways to do that is innovation.  When I was first starting out there was nothing I hated hearing worst than some pompous jerk telling me to “think outside out of the box”.  While even the most ignorant person in the world knows what “thinking outside of the box” means, it doesn’t offer much help.  We all want to think about different ways to promote offers but that is much easier said than done.

Rather than sit here and bore you death with some regurgitated story that you have probably read 2000 times spun 2000 different ways, I wanted to give it to you straight up.  You must be an innovator not an imitator.  What does that mean?  If you try to promote offers exactly like a super affiliate you are never going to become one.  Super affiliates like us have more capital and while you are copying every move we make we’ve already peaked out the campaign and are onto our next project.

In order to become an innovator you must find a method that works.  Again, this is much easier said than done and chances are you are going to lose some money before you find that method.  However, it is all about trial and error and being able to grit your teeth and take the risk.  If you don’t like taking risks or you are scared to lose a couple hundred bucks you are in the wrong profession.  If you don’t have the intestinal fortitude to stick your neck out there then go get a 9 to 5 desk job, work until 65 and retire.

After you find your method that works you have to understand it is not going to last forever.  I don’t care how hot an offer is or how much you clear in a day; the offer is eventually going to die down.  To counteract that you need to be preparing your next campaign to try out new things without chewing up all your profit.

The biggest hurdle you have to cross in Internet marketing is to find a method that works.   Once you find your method you can begin to tweak it and create numerous profitable campaigns.  The biggest thing people do wrong is they discover some generic method and think they have it all figured out.  Anyone can imitate, few can innovate.
