One of the biggest mistakes inexperienced affiliate marketers make is they are so caught up in running formulas and figuring out traffic sources they overlook the quality of their website(s). It is absolutely crucial that you make sure the website you use to promote an offer looks professional. It needs to be easy to navigate and viewer-friendly. I?ve had people come to me with outstanding plans but when they show me their website, it?s no wonder they aren?t seeing any conversions.

Before you spend one cent on advertising you need to make sure to test your website(s). Try it out on a friend or a family member. It may sound corny but if they can?t understand where to go to sign up for the offer, how is the average visitor?

A lot of offers target middle-age men and women. This demographic can be very profitable but is usually more computer illiterate. Things must be laid out very simple in step-by-step format in order to get a conversion. Something that may seem so obvious to you may look like a foreign language to someone that did not grow up in the Internet generation.

If you?re like me and spend the majority of your day on the computer you may have adapted so much that you lose touch with your average visitor. Once this happens it becomes very difficult to look at a website linking to an offer like an outsider. This is why you need to test your material on outsiders.

Failing to test your material can lead to lots of dollars lost. When you are in this business you must do everything you can to eliminate all losses. Every penny counts towards your margin and why risk losing one cent on something so easy?
